Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Shower-Glass.co.uk Operations

As a result of the impact of Coronavirus (COVID19) on our local community, Shower-Glass.co.uk is making a few simple changes to the operation of fulfilment to its customers.

As many other small business alike we are taking note and following recommendations from Gov.uk/ coronavirus and other local authorities on a daily basis and hopefully on our part help in limiting and hopefully controlling the spread of the disease.

As a result we are currently trading as normal. We are a distance seller ( i.e. through the website and telephone calls) and this will continue unaffected unless we are advised otherwise.

For the present time, changes will only come into effect within our fulfilment operation.

Temporary changes and recommendations:

All purchased glass is now going through a handling check process and will only be handled with gloved personnel.

This will include at the customer end of the delivery. We are recommending that the delivery driver to deliver to entrance of your property only and not to be invited in.

Components are boxed and will be handled by 3rd party couriers which leaves delivery responsibility out of our control. Please make precautions to protect yourself from any infection from receiving any goods.

Periods of infections from surfaces.

The short answer is, we don't know. A new analysis found that the virus can remain viable in the air for up to 3 hours, on copper for up to 4 hours, on cardboard up to 24 hours and on plastic and stainless steel up to 2 to 3 days. However, this study, which was published in the preprint database medRxiv on Wednesday (March 11), has not yet yet been peer-reviewed.
