Top or Bottom Mount (Can be Adapted to Deluxe Header Kit) Larger Version of the Popular Cardiff Series to Accommodate 1/2" (12 mm) Thick Glass Square Corners for a Sharp, Traditional Look Adaptable to Deluxe Header System Stocked in Many Popular Hardware Finishes Senior Cardiff Series Top and Bottom Mount Pivot Hinges are designed for use with 1/2" (12 mm) thick tempered safety glass. Some advantages of the Top and Bottom Mount Pivot Hinges include the fact that they carry the majority of the door weight on the bottom hinge, and have the ability to be inset from the door edge, enabling sufficient clearance for towel bars or other projections. Senior Cardiff Hinges are self-centering, with four strong springs for maximum retention strength. The Senior Cardiff Hinge is adaptable to our Deluxe Header System for enclosures not reaching the ceiling, by utilizing our Senior Adapter Block. (Must order SRHAB01 Adaptor Block separately) They also can be simply floor and ceiling mounted for doors that do reach the ceiling. Using two hinges with 1/2" glass (12 mm) the hinge will hold up to 145 lbs. (66 kg) with a maximum door width of 36" (914 mm).

It has precision wound stainless steel return springs and is self-closing from 25 degrees to self centering 0 degree return. (5 degree positive closure and 45 degree configurations available) Matched finish stainless steel Allen style clamp screws with an Allen wrench is included. Wall mount hinges include matched finish stainless steel mounting screws. Conservatively rated at 50 pounds per hinge.
