The pros and cons

Off the shelf: Pros

Its great to get an off the shelf screen, it comes packaged and usually within a few days of ordering, price is favourable over a bespoke screen and most now a day will come with an easy clean protection.

Off the Shelf: Cons

The glass size is fixed so you have to make sure the area will suit the screen. Materials for support arms etc are mass produced, quality and longevity can sometimes be compromised. Delivery is usually on a pallet or wooden stillage and has to be disposed of, the same goes for the packaging

Bespoke: Pros

Glass is made to measure and can be incrementally increased or decreased to suite required size, the components use are notably better in quality and looks. No packaging or other waste products

Bespoke: Cons

Costs will normally be more expensive, lead times vary but are usually 7-10 working days, comes unprotected in most cases

The off the shelf products glass are a great way to fulfil a bathroom or wet room. As a Bespoke Glass supplier, we don't knock the cost of a cheap off the shelf shower glass panel, but it does have its limitations to standardised bathrooms and areas.
